About this policy
This policy explains how EventMe handles information when you browse events, subscribe to emails, create an account, request promotion or contact us. It applies to EventMe’s service, not to outside organizers, venues or ticketing websites.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide, such as your name, email address, selected cities, event interests, email preferences, account and organization details, submitted event content, and support or booking messages. We also keep booking, payment-status and transaction-reference records. Payment processing is handled by a payment provider when checkout is available; EventMe does not store your full payment-card number. Technical information can include IP addresses, browser information, security logs and email engagement events.
How we use information
We use information to provide your account, match event emails to your locations and interests, review and publish events, fulfill promotion bookings, process payment-related requests, provide support, measure campaigns, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations. Required account or booking messages are separate from optional marketing preferences.
Email preferences and measurement
Our emails may include curated calendars and sponsored messages dedicated to one event. You can manage your choices through the preferences link or unsubscribe from marketing using the link in an email. Email delivery services may record delivery, bounce, complaint and unsubscribe events. Tracking images can record an image load, and tracked links can record a click, with technical information supplied by the provider. Privacy tools may load images automatically and security tools may follow links; a recorded open or click is not reliable proof of human attention. Blocking remote images may reduce open tracking, but it does not necessarily prevent other delivery or click records.
Original EventMe subscriptions
We retain historical EventMe records to understand existing subscriptions and business activity. Original subscriber locations and interests have been mapped into the current preferences system, and opt-outs and organizer-specific blocks are preserved. Historical records and current settings are stored separately; updating current preferences does not rewrite the historical archive. An original subscription record is not presented as a new email confirmation.
Retention and security
We keep information for the service, support, financial recordkeeping, security and legal needs associated with it. Retention depends on the type of record and applicable obligations; there is not one fixed period for every record. Limited suppression information may be retained to respect an unsubscribe after other data is removed. We use access controls and account-security measures, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Service providers may process information in countries other than where you live.
Your choices and requests
Use email preferences to update subscriptions and your account settings to update available account details. You can also contact us to request access, correction or deletion of your information, or to ask about other privacy rights available where you live. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information that is required for legal obligations or to honor an opt-out. Do not send passwords or full payment-card details through the contact form.
Children’s information
EventMe is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this service, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action. Individual events may have their own age requirements.
Contact and policy changes
For privacy questions or requests, use our contact form and describe the request as a privacy matter. We will update this page as our practices change and display its revision date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain permission before applying a materially different use of your information.
