ABORA III - Storm Voyage Across the Atlantic |
The ABORA III Expedition - lecture and multi-media presentation by expedition leader Dominique Görlitz.
The prehistoric yardarm sailboat ABORA III tried to cross the North Atlantic, something deemed impossible in our modern age. The expedition travelled 2,410 nautical miles in the span of 56 days, the majority of those miles against the wind. From August on the expedition had to face low pressure systems of unusual frequency and intensity.Thursday 3/19 @ 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM | host: |
