Tar Sands Songbook

In this engaging lecture-performance, musician and ethnographer Tanya Kalmanovitch discusses how she uses music, sound and dramatic storytelling to address climate change and social-environmental crisis in her hometown of Fort McMurray, Canada -- a place described as "the largest -- and most destructive -- industrial project in human history". Actor Jennifer Van Dyck joins Kalmanovitch to perform musical and dramatic excerpts from the work.
